Rather nice pot any one recognise the potter and the poem?

It's not a poem, it starts with Dai Nippon (Great Japan 大日本 and on the left site the makers name follwed by 造 "Zo" (made).
Dai Nippon means often that this was made somewhere in the Meiji Period (1868-1912).

Perhaps later this week I have some time to look after the seal and the makere name.

I already found the mark, both the seal and the written text on the left spell : Iwakurazan 岩倉山 (1760-1882).
I can't decipher the 2 characters written under Dai Nippon.

In the book "Japanese Pottery" (1890) from Lord James Bowes the seal mark is described as: Iwakurazan, found upon Yamashiro ware pottery.

Iwakurazan was one of the potters of the Awataguchi kiln, just like Kinkozan, Taizan, Tanzan and Hozan, all making so called Awata(guchi) ware those days. In the Meiji period, Awata(guchi) ware was known popularly as Kyo-Satsuma ware (Kyoto-style Satsuma ware).

Thank you that is amazing knowlege/research. I just find it rather aesethetically pleasing, but it is nice to know its history.
