Subject:I sure could use some help with this one!
Posted By: Jack Hamner Fri, Mar 09, 2018 IP: 71.51.12.199

I bought this figure at an estate sale today but have been unable to find out anything about it. Please help me!

I will post a couple more photos when my message is posted.

Would appear to be a fairly recent figurine of a kowtowing child bearing a medallion with the Chinese wish of "Wan shi ru yi" (萬事如意), meaning "May all of your wishes come true." Such items generally appear in Chinese locales as decorations and gift-wares during holidays such as Chinese New Year. A child in this posture evokes a great deal of Confucian sentiment.

Best regards,

Bill H.
