Hi All again!

Need help with identification of this piece.

Large hexagonal bowl with cobalt blue underglazed patterns. Hand painted dragon and possibly phoneix on the inner side. Glaze have slightly yellowish/grennish colour. Couple of visible rust spots. Unusual base made of convex triangles.
No marks or sign.

diameter: 19cm
high: 11cm
circumference at the widest point: 65cm

Recently found info on gotheborg that the dragon, together with the phoenix symbolizes the emperor and the empress, as well as representing marital bliss.

Those two creatures together according to tradition, are typically made as wedding gifts.

Courious on yours opinion.
Thanks in advance with any help with age/period/value identification.

Couple of factors to be honest.
The bowl comes from the person whose grandparents used to travel on several occasions to Asian countries, especially China (work related).

Also its a general appearance of bowl, style of painting, and cobalt blue colours, I just simply seen and own couple of them in the same style.

All leads me to conclusion its might be Chinese. But again, I might be wrong. Why You asking? Do you have any thoughts about it? Very curious of your opinion.

Of course I asked you the question because I have my doubts it is Chinese.
Your bowl reminded me of a Japanese bowl from my collection. It is dated 1810-1840. Comparing the colors you can see the difference. Is that because yours is Chinese or because yours is Japanese but made after 1870?

The first thing what I do when I see a dragon is; counting the toes(claws) With exceptions of course a (Qing and later) Chinese dragon have 4 or 5 claws. Japanese dragons have 3. As far as I can see your dragon have 3 claws (a bit silly; the hind leg seems to have 4. For me a good indication of a Japanese origin.
