Posted By: Lex Verwaaijen Mon, Jul 09, 2018 IP: 2601:600:9d80:89a:90

I got this scroll from an Japanese neighbor.
Can anyone help to identify the painter and can anyone tell me of the box is original for the scroll and what does the signs say on the box?

Thank you very much

Signature and seal,
光陽 - Kōyō
Most probably Miura Kōyō 三浦光陽
I could find some of his works on Yahoo auction
sites (with different signatures and seals) without any biographical information.
Inscription on the box,
贈 ウエルボン 昭和四十年七月五日
岡 直正
Gift by Wellbound (Company) 40th Year of Shōwa (1965) July 5th.
Oka Naomasa

With regards,
I.Nagy
