Subject:Chinese Vases
Posted By: Matt Hutson Tue, Aug 28, 2018 IP: 31.48.217.173

Hi, I have inherited a couple of Chinese Vases that we are looking to sell. We know they are 60+ years old, however no idea of the value. Does anyone know anything about them, and a rough value?
Many thanks

Hi Matt,

Your vases aren't Chinese but Japanese and made in Kyoto (Kyo-yaki). If you want to sell them and expect to make some profit ……… you better keep them.

Regards,
Arjan

To start with: these are not Chinese, but Japanese Satsuma Kyo ware vases. Date probably 1930's.
One mark is: Migi 右 (right) ?? 13 十三.
The other mark: Hidari 左 (left) 16 十六.
Regards,
Martin.
