The mark is "Jin Tang Fu Ji" (錦堂福記), "The Splendid Hall of Good Fortune", No. 1434 in "The New & Revised Handbook of Marks on Chinese Ceramics" by Gerald Davison. The handbook lists it as having been a Qianlong-era mark, and I've seen a fair amount of it under discussion in Chinese-language online forums as being of the later Qing Dynasty, including Guangxi period. Gotheborg, com shows this mark as possibly being used as recently as the late 20th century. This could be true of your jar, which is something I've never handled but has the kind of high domed lid that I can't associate with the 19th century at least.

Best regards,

Bill H.
