Hello everyone I need help on this beautiful vase. It is very vibrant with painted images of warriors. Can anybody help me with the date of the vase. Possible Qing dynasty?
Help is much appreciated as always.
Thank you in advance

This appears from nuances of the painting style to be a Republic or later vase in the manner of Kangxi biscuit-painted famille verte porcelains having "Three Kingdoms" or "Warring States" motifs. The mouth rim looks to have been reduced and smoothed to diminish the appearance of damage, which process has revealed the raw biscuit. The neck had begun to flare at that point, so may have been taller and wider in its original form. See link for a related earlier thread. For an idea of what mid-19th century famille rose artists were doing with the same kind of motif, I've added an image below.

Best regards,

Bill H.
