There is no identifying information shown. My guess is that they are pages from an ehon (book). However, without knowing the size, I can't say that with any certainty.

Cheers,
Stan

Thanks Stan!
That makes sense. Apparently, we've already packed these up but they are about 6x9 ish I think - so sized right for that.

There was a note on the paper that one was attached to that said Hokusai and a date - 1800 something.
We did not take the attribution to Hokusai seriously at the time so did not pay much attention to that but maybe one or both could be from a Hokusai School Ehon? I'll see if we can still get at these to review size and date again and, if so, post again.

Thanks again!

They don't look like Hokusai ehon pages to me. All the ones I have seen and looked at online look similar to ours. See example below.

That said, the person most likely to know their attribution would be the one that pulled the book apart. If that person wrote your note, then I won't argue with it.

Cheers,
Stan

Thanks Stan
I did not think they looked like Hokusai either from what I found online so far. We don't know who wrote the note so I would not take it too seriously.

Julie
