This is derived from a Kunisada woodblock print (Sankatsu of the Minoya, from a series known as Votive Hand Towels (Hônô tenugui)). The Boston MFA has the original print here:

Name cartouche of artist,
五渡亭 - Goto-tei - Pseudonym
國貞画 - Picture of Kunisada

Utagawa Kunisada a.k.a 3rd gen. Utagawa Toyokuni 1786-1865
Edo period Ukiyo-e artist.
