Subject:Large Double Happiness Ginger Jar
Posted By: Skippy Sat, Dec 08, 2018 IP: 2600:1700:9981:47b0:

It is my understanding this is called a Double Happiness Ginger Jar. Chinese? 19th Century? Can anyone read or identify the signature on the bottom? Rough value range as the top is broken and we are wondering if it's worth professional repair.

The apocryphal bottom mark reads,
成化年製 - Chenghua -nian zhi - Manufactured in the years of Chenghua
Chenghua - title of reign 1465-1487 of Zhu Jianshen, 8th emperor of the Ming Dynasty.

With regards,
I.Nagy
