Subject:SCROLL CHINESE OR JAPANESE
Posted By: b stockman Wed, Jan 30, 2019 IP: 173.79.41.131

I have had this scroll for many many years but I do not know who made it. My friend said that it was “The sound of the rain” but did not know anything else. It seems that my pictures were not uploaded before so I am going to try again. Thank you.

Certainly the inscription and seal reads,
雨聲 - Usei (Japanese)
Yusheng (Chinese)
Sound of rain - Title of picture.
Unidentifiable artist.

With regards,
I.Nagy

Mr. Nagy, thank for your response. My son was moving the scroll and the top was separated from the painting. At this point, I am trying to decide if it would be worth to have it repaired or what to do with it. It is too bad that there is no artist's name to it but it looks beautiful. Thank you.

Barbara
