Hi I am researching this porcelain vase under a silver overlay marked with shreve&co sterling. The vase is marked as shown. Shreve worked with many ceramic studios around 1900-1920s such as moorcroft and Japanese studio SHOFU KATEI, but I have also seen Rookwood, older Chinese and Satsuma vases with their silver overlay. I called Shreve in SF, they don't have any archives either. Now I really want to get to the bottom of this. Based on the style and the glaze, I feel this is a Japanese vase but I couldn't be entirely sure as they are many western studio made Japonisme pieces around that time too. Any info is greatly appreciated!
