The mark reads: Maruni 丸二, date: 1920's / 1930's.

Maruni Shoten was founded by Jinjo Yukitake with 6 of his employees as a joint-stock company around 1915-1920. After 2 years Yukitake sold his shares to the others and they continued as the Maruni company. Later the company name became: "Maruni & Co, Kobe, Japan. This company continued to operate until 1938 and probably still some time after WWII. After WWII marks with Maruni appears rarely. Sometimes also with the addition "Made in Occupied Japan" or with "CPO" (Central Purchasing Office).

Regards,
Martin.
