Subject:Shunga Print
Posted By: HC Tue, Jun 04, 2019 IP: 213.205.192.53

Hi,

Would anyone be able to give the title of this print which we believe is by Eizen? Also any extra information including a translation of the writing please.

Many thanks to you in advance for taking the time to reply.

The beginning of the inscription is illegibly blurred, but it continues
和琴緩調臨
譚月唐櫓高
推入水煙
  blurred
川の舟あそび
.... At the relaxed tunes of the yamatogoto
the moon is reflecting on the turbid waters
and the ship-mast pushing into the mist....
Pleasure boating on the river

From the illegibly blurred part at the beginning I can't read out Eisen (英泉)
What can be taken 英, rather is a 走繞 (sōnyō) - Radical 156
A better picture only on the inscription would surely help a lot.

With regards,
I.Nagy
