Subject:Chinese Cloisonne enamel vase
Posted By: Nancy Campione Mon, Jun 10, 2019 IP: 2601:80:4203:8b40:7d

Hi, I'm hoping someone can help me determine approximate age & style of this cloisonne enamel vase. Very beautifully & intricately detailed & vividly colorful. Measures 15 1/2" tall. I do see quite a few of these vases online & at flea markets but this one, to my eye at least, seems exceptionally well done. Thanks for looking!

Hi Nancy,
Sorry these are not old, nor valuable. IMO late 20th century. The dragons head are ultra modern. The spike on said are pointing up and not fluid with the bodies movement. You will see this a lot on modern pieces including cloisonné.
Still attractive. Enjoy!

Hi Mark, Thank you so much for the info! Interesting how you were able to determine approximate age by style of dragons. I very much appreciate it!
