Subject:Trying to identify Artist and asian decent
Posted By: Maya Lebeu Sun, Jun 16, 2019 IP: 209.52.88.11 I have this original one of a kind painting I was gifted to purchase 16 yrs ago, by an elderly couple who brought it in their younger days from china. I was told it was done by a very famous artist and is a one of a kind original water color painting. I am having trouble identifying the artist and decent. Hoping by the stunning details of setting and style that someone may have info to lead me in a proper direction for researching?? The picture posted is edited to fit forum size requirements. |

Posted By: Maya Mon, Jun 17, 2019 In researching, this painting is obvious 19th century perhaps, by the scarf and style of dress. I was told that the artists signature looks like monet. I found this painting with strong characteristics of his style to the florals. I will post the compare picture to a zoom in of mine...any thoughts on this? Could the signature on the painting be monet? |
