Title,
壽星圖 - Picture of Shaoxing (God of Longevity)
Colophon,
江夓畫 - Picture of Jiang Xia
(Leisure) Seal,
宣阜門外 - Outside of the Xuanfu Gate
(Name of the four gates of Jining)

For the time being I can't identify the artist.

The symbols as a reminder of long life are innumerable, the character Shou 壽 being stylised in every conceivable form. In the animal kingdom the deer is taken as emblem, and the God of Longevity is often depicted riding on its back.

With regards,
I.Nagy

As Good As It Gets I. Nagy! Thanks Again! Little update on the "HE LIAN" scroll painting. I have not had much time to research but I was able to make a "InterLibrary Loan" on the Book, "Modern Chinese Artists Dictionary" so I would not have to buy it. Also one more book you had recommended showing a "Ming Dynasty He Lian" Fan Painting I will also either buy or Library Loan. After that will take Painting to Seattle Art Museum for Evaluation - Then Put it up for Auction. All of this this Summer I Hope including Auction! Yours Truly, Gary K
