Subject:Genuine?
Posted By: Christopher Millbank Sat, Aug 10, 2019 IP: 79.78.70.198 This is a beautiful vase, and was purchased as being 19th century and bronze, but now I'm not sure after trying to do some research into the design and signature. Can anyone help? |

When I queried Google, the characters turned out to be the respected maker "Morimitsu". I've put the URL below to a Morimitsu vase sold by Chrisitie's and am keeping my fingers crossed the link will work for a change. |

Posted By: Christopher Millbank Tue, Aug 13, 2019 Thanks for your efforts Bill. I did find one at Christies. Identical signature but very different patination. Mine is very green with a reddish area on the Crayfish torso, which I was concerned might be rust. I've been told that is a giveaway for a fake, hence my concern. |
