Subject:Song Dynasty bowl with lotus flowers/inventory tag

Hello,

Was wondering if someone could help me date this piece, any kiln info would be helpful,and also see if they recognize the old inventory number. I have had over 10 pieces with this style tag purchased in the SF Bay Area.

Hi Matthew,

Your pieces were collected by John Allen Tabor in SE Asia during the 1960's. The collection was disbursed about 10 years ago as the Hillhaven Collection. Most of the collection consisted of Vietnamese, Thai and some Chinese tradewares.

Here is a similar label on a Thai Jarlet and a biographical sketch of John Allen Tabor by his daughter.
