Your Chinese jar is called a "Kamcheng" in southeast Asia, where many like yours were exported in the mid-to-late 19th century. The jars are especially identified with the Baba-Nonya culture of Straits of Malacca Chinese communities in Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. The cited culture consists of descendants of Chinese men who emigrated to the area in Ming times to set up porcelain businesses, whereupon they married local women, while their principal wives remained in China to handle that end of the Business.

Check the link for more information and pictures of the image I've embedded below of a Kamcheng from Burma in my collection. These Jars are found almost everywhere in Southeast Asia.

Best regards,

Bill H.
