Subject:Qing Period (?) Paste Pot
Posted By: Peter Wed, Dec 25, 2019 IP: 178.165.129.243

Hello, once again !

I've been offered the chance to acquire two ceramic pieces (from the same seller) which are supposedly Qing period.
The first item (Qing Pot with Lid - posted Dec 23rd) has since been identified by the experts as a later copy.
However, the second item looks to be a bit more promising. I once saw something similar in the Forum, which, if I recall correctly, was referred to as a 'paste pot' by the poster.
I would very much appreciate what you guys have to say about it.

Many thanks in advance !

My impression is late Qing period, Tongzhi or early Guangxu.
The empty eyes are typical of Tongzhi reign.
Best regards,
Adriano.
