Subject:Jizou Statue Question
Posted By: Dan Sun, Jan 05, 2020 IP: 126.183.0.244 Greetings, all. I was hoping someone might be able to shed some light for me on the piece linked to here. Is it possible to conjecture as to its original purpose? I'm wondering whether it might have been a roadside Jizou (as are so common here in Japan), or would it more likely have been from a temple garden or a cemetery? Thank you in advance for sharing your expertise.
