Subject:Shou Lao stone figure

Hi All,
I would greatly appreciate your thoughts on this small statue. I was told it was jade but I think soapstone. Also, any thoughts on the mark on the base?

Hi Roger,
Judging by your pictures I am of the belief that your figure is Soapstone. It is also modern.

From what I can see I']l go with the Soapstone.
