Subject:Incised Square Pottery Mark on Vase
Posted By: Zachary Bauman Tue, Mar 10, 2020 IP: 2607:fcc8:e089:1b00:

I have acquired this vase in an auction. I think it is beautiful, with a wonderful scene in great color. However, it has an incised pottery mark on the base that I cannot identify. Would anyone please help?

The mark on this Nanking vase reads: Chenghua 成化 Nian 年 Zhi 制 - "Chenghua Period Made". Honorary mark on Chinese export.
