Posted By: Bill H Wed, Apr 08, 2020 This is a 'Coraline' type Japanese porcelain vase, usually called 'Sharkskin' for its texture, consisting of tiny beads of glass, which give the vase a satiny look. The base has a monopoly patent number (shown upside down) of the Meiji period (1868-1912) entrepreneur Takeuchi Chubei. Please check out the link, which leads to more information and pictures concerning Takeuchi and his products. |
