Hello, everyone!
Can someone help me about the period, please? I think it is from 19th century, but I would like to confirm.
Thank you so much.
Best regards,
Regina

This is a Chinese plate, circa the Daoguang reign 1821-50), with a mark of 'Made during the Chenghua Reign' (Chenghua Nian Zhi - 成化年製). When a similar plate came up a decade ago in the forum (link), controversy arose as to whether it was Chinese or from Japan, where porcelains also were given the same kind of apocryphal mark (read 'Seika nen sei'). The debate finally emerged on the side of Chinese origins, with Chinese porcelain maven and author Anthony J. Allen leading the charge.

Best regards,

Bill H.

Hello!
Thank you for your answer. I can't find nothing in books or other links than here, in this site. Can you have any suggestions about books or other sites?
Thank you so much! I really appreciate!
Best regards,
Regina
