Subject:Is this bowl Chinese ...geyao? Age?
Posted By: yurike Sat, Sep 05, 2020 IP: 71.121.170.65

Good evening...
Think this may be Chinese Geyao type crackle bowl, but I'm not sure. The enamel design seems odd. And no idea of age. Thank you for any help and assistance

Looks to me like a Japanese oil dish. Hard to be sure as the pictures don't explain how deed the sides are, and no dimensions are given..

This would probably be a Fangge (imitation Ge) ware made in the late Qing dynasty.

The color decoration seems to have been added later on top of the crackle glaze.
