Subject:Chinese Imperial Silk Dragon Roundel

I recently acquired the subject 11" diameter 5-toed dragon roundel. Based on limited research, I learned that it has the following symbols: 'cock in the sun' center top and thunder-bolt center bottom. I would like to learn more -- what garment was it on, its age, etc. Any additional info you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
