Subject:Request for information on Hong Kong Dishes

Hi, I have some dishes from Hong Kong that I hope someone can tell me more about.
I inherited these from my grandpa. My grandparents moved to the US in the late 1940s, and they had a Chinese restaurant. They had family who lived (relocated) in Hong Kong. Family or friends probably gave these as gifts to my grandparents. I don't think we/my grandparents ever used these dishes. I do not recognize them. They probably sat on a shelf for a long time until they moved out of their house, and then they lived in a box.
There are 6 9.25" plates and 6 8" plates.
I was wondering how old they are, if this was a popular style at the time, what it's made of (porcelain?), the meanings of the designs and colors, and anything else.
I tried googling around, but Google showed me lots of websites selling dishes and not anything about history. Thank you so much!
