Subject:Help translating Chinese Inscription on Ceramic Brush Pot

I may be wrong but I believe the inscription on the large (15" x 5") brush pot (cylindrical ceramic vessel) is Chinese. Could anyone help me translate it? Also any information about the approximate age would be appreciated. There are no marks on the base.
