hello,
i bought this 4” square jar desc as a snuff box but i thought it was probably tea . However the images are very odd to my western way of looking at things and i wonder what they are L what meaning if any . Could it be tobacco rather than tea? surely not snuff i think it’s too big.
It’s kinkozan not sure of its age , prob 19thc Anyway info appreciated. My photos were too large so i have added the link to the auction site.Very grateful if you can help.Is that a 4 pronged anchor ? why ? etc
