Yuan Dynasty blue and white porcelain?

Your bottle combine some elements from Yuan and Ming dynasties, not quite successful.

Two dragons contending for jewel of immortality usually face each other. They are in snaky form more common late 19th century.

Leafs try imitate the form of Yuan Dynasty but not quite right in shape.

Waves in section between lobes try type begin early 15th century Ming but not well drawn.

Dragon and phoenix same piece began Ming Dynasty. Dragon with 3-claw feet common in Yuan and in modern Japan.

Decorator probably had 2 or 3 pictures to work from, pretty good artist but not familiar with dynastic forms.

Condition perfect. My guess is modern reproduction.

Good luck,
Cal

I don't know too much about porcelain and therefore can't give you a factual opinion.

I do rely on gut feel though and that tells me no, not Yuan. The colour of the base is very orange pink and reminds me a lot of reproductions I have recently seen in China.

JJ

Thats a genuine Yuan Huluping alright. And a 'round' Huluping is more rare that the 8 sided one. If you are still in doubt, just take a Thermo-Luminescence test. But I think the result would be the same.

A colleague brought to my view two dragons drawings very much like on your bottle. Are next to each other in book, A Diction of Chinese Ceramics by Wang Qingzheng (2002 edition, Sun Tree Publishing) on page 276. One, left-facing called from Yuan Dynasty. Other, with head turned back, called from Yongle reign, Ming Dynasty. Details on yours look copied from these pictures. Also was 1989 edition of book.

Please forgive my error statement about snaky dragons. Memory does not always serve.

Good luck,
Cal
