Subject:CHARACTERS & CHOP MARKS
Posted By: Fri, Jun 01, 2012 IP: 86.145.103.85 Can someone please help out with the translations and chop marks on a piece of original artwork which I believe was a 'visual' for a decorative plate design. Once again its probably circa 1880s? |

Posted By: Mon, Jun 04, 2012 IP: 199.94.42.170 this is another proof by the same Mr. Fukuda whose seal appears on your earlier proof, reading that it is a design sheet Part I, sheet #11 for a (woodblock print of a) river carp, and was transmitted to the customer/printer on the 28th of the seventh month (not necessarily July if going by the lunar calendar, perhaps August or September). |
