Subject:?? Maybe very old Scepter
Posted By: Sat, Jun 16, 2012 IP: 98.236.59.227 I am looking for advice on what to seems to be very old Asian Scepter. Made of bronze and what i believe is Jade. I live in the Pittsburgh area. Any help would be great or advice as to the date of this. |

Posted By: Mon, Jun 18, 2012 IP: 199.94.42.170 pretty ignorant about these ruyi scepters but the way the stone is incised suggests to me anyway that this may be a recent attempt to create an archaic looking scepter rather than an actual scepter that is several hundred years old made in an archaic style. You might try sending photos to the Asian department at Freeman's in Philadelphia or to the U Penn museum. |
