hello,
i have a plate and i wonder what age it is.
I myself think it is arita imari, and japanse,
from 19th century but i would like to know for sure,

I would go along with Arita Imari and a date of 3rd-4th quarter of the 19th century (circa the late Edo to heart of the Meiji period). Though unmarked, your dish resembles some Fukagawa-marked patterns, as well as marked pieces of studios that also painted for Fukagawa. See URL below for an earlier thread.

You might wish to remove the plate hanger before it can inflict further damage to this attractive piece.

Hi Leidi,

You're thinking right.
This is Japanese and dates from 1840/1870. Stylisticly seen it was probably made by Zoshuntei Sanpo or maybe Hichozan Shinpo. You can make an internet search on that names to compare and read more about it.
