Subject:need help identifying

Posted By: Tue, Aug 14, 2012 IP: 199.94.42.183 These are signed as being by Zhang Zhiwan (1811-1897), who I think came in first in the national civil service examination in 1847. The inscription dates these to summer 1888, but being unfamiliar with his work I can't say whether these are genuine, or simply works to which the signature and date were later added. they look pretty good from the small pics, the inscription's calligraphy looks quite good. |
