is it modern ? anybody know ? This is an Asian forum and hardly no responds to anybody.

Hardly a Bonsai pot. The only plant even vaguely associated with it is the tobacco plant. It's an ashtray.

Mike, am ashtray, oh wow. There was a plant in it when I bought it but I guess you could be right.

I agree, hardly any responses here. The silence is deafening. I wish I had an answer for you. Alas, Porcelain is not my forte. But perhaps a discussion about the lack of discussion might make an actual discussion happen!

Thanks Joseph, glad somebody understands what I'm talking about. My Chinese yixing signed little teapot, nobody replied but when on ebay, the bids went from $12.99 to $812.00.

Certainly not a bonsai pot. Looks to be quite recent. Probably made for export.
