We do need people like you in this forum...This carving was found 1976 in Hangzhou,China, in a canal.We would love to know more about this one.

Despite the supposed "Find" in a canal I cant help to think that this looks fake.... The true liangzhu carvings were so fine in thread carving they make this one look truly amateurish

Hi Lovejade,

Welcome to this forum.

Would you care to share with us your background to back your claim that you can identify ancient Chinese jades.

This piece is for your identification. Diameter 5cm. Thickness 2.5cm. I purchased this last year here in Singapore from a man who claimed it belonged to his elderly uncle. I have no idea where it came from, what it actually is and how old it is.
