I have inherited some oriental items. This one is container but i have no clue of its origin. No mark at the bottom. Thanks in advance

It looks like a "winter melon" jar, made in Ming dynasty, folk kiln.

Likely mid-to-late 20th century. Mismatched top with three badly depicted bats was painted by someone poorly trained in brush painting. Bird & flowers on jar not much better. Makes me wonder if it might have come out of Southeast Asia.

Thanks both for your answers! Bill, it it really icredible to see how bad was the simetry of the bats painted in the top. Now that i look at it properly, even I would do something better :)
