Subject:Jade Foo Creatures?

Hi. I am curious if anyone would know if these are a) Chinese b) jade and c) what style or period. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

These look like the winged leonine creatures that are called either "bixie" or "tianlu" in China. See the link for further details. The term "chimera" sometimes is used to describe them in Western terms. Large ones in stone are among the animals that line the approach to the Ming tombs.

If they are jadeite jade, you may consider selling them to your local lapidarist for recutting into cabochons. The lavender color is sougth after.

They look like quite modern low grade Jadeite carvings.
