Posted By: rat Tue, Apr 15, 2014 I'm no ceramics expert, but I imagine this is transfer-printed rather than handpainted, probably within the last few decades. The small characters on the front say the plate comes from the prominent porcelain producing town of Jingdezhen. The mark on the reverse incorrectly ascribes it to the Qianlong reign (1736-95). Variants of that mark are ubiquitous these days.
