Please may I call on your expertise to translate the calligraphy on this Chinese Ink Box and stone.

Where are the ink boxes? Are u selling them on eBay?

Hello Super.

Is that what the Calligraphy says? Ha Ha, no the calligraphy is on one ink box, the main characters are in the centre, and the smaller ones are at the top and bottom of the lid, the last image is of the stone but there is a lot more writing on the stone. Not for sale on e-bay, from my own collection and I am curious to know what it translates to.

You need to understand that this forum is not a free translation service and none of us get paid for translating anything and quite often it does take time to do a decent translating job, and time is money. To show only inscriptions of any art pieces appear to be a lack of respect or considerations for the translators and most of us will choose just to ignore such posts.

1. Given the limitations of image size I only posted the calligraphy in order to get good close-up images of the calligraphy.
2. I am intrigued by calligraphy on pieces as it gives a better understanding of the piece and it's history but your tone suggests that that is a right reserved for the few with the ability to read it.
3. I do have a sound knowledge of Chinese furniture and I have written essays on this forum in the past - I know it takes time and I know that time is money, but I contribute where and when I can and I always thought the forum was just that, for everyone to contribute where they can.
4. I read a post you made on jade the other day, I actually wanted to e-mail you and say how kind and warm you were towards the poster.
5. I must admit I find your post brazen, rude assuming and dismissive, not at all intellectual or helpful.

JJ, this is very recently made if not brand new, the characters have been machined but pretend to be a Kangxi era date, inscribed by a Wang Yunxi, along with a studio name. The fact that the piece is so obviously a modern fabrication gives Chinese readers a lot less interest in spending time on it.
