Can someone decipher the symbols on this ceramic wall tile for me. Thank you.

It's the Chinese character for South. (See lower left corner :) )

The red seal is the artist or makers chop seal.
Whereas Westerners use a signature, the Chinese use chop seals. Sorry, but I can't see the characters enough to help you with the name, and I'm still learning Chinese so do not know 4/5 of the symbols yet.
