Posted By: Bill H Fri, Apr 25, 2014 The mark reads down and across from the right as "Imperial Japan, Made by Matsura" (大日本, 松浦造 - Dai Nippon, Matsura Zo). Matsura was the clan name of the feudal lords who ruled over the Hirado fiefdom, though what you show is not the famous blue & white porcelain associated with that area. |
