Hello, I have been trying to find any information on this object. I was told that it may be a brush and ink set but really not sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have more photos also.

that was my first thought too,but I couldn't figure out why an incense burner would come with a large lidded bay as this one does.

Rat..how about storage for the incense?

Doesn't make sense if the incense is attached to thin sticks that would be held by the two conical sconce-type things, but I don't know for sure, since obviously some other form of incense was used in vessels like Han dynasty boshanlu. But this is pretty modern, so I figure it would have to be the stick type. Incense coils don't make sense given the sconces either.

then again someone just posted something similar on the gotheborg website which strikes me as an incense holder, so I am probably totally wrong!
