Posted By: Corey Sun, Jun 01, 2014 Mark is Yongzheng and if it's also of the period then your vase is very valuable. |

Posted By: adam Sun, Jun 01, 2014 The pink enamels make me this is republic...Many had apocryphal marks corey |
Subject:Re: Id AGE
Posted By: Corey Mon, Jun 02, 2014 Yes, I know that many republic and antique porcelain items have apocryphal marks and that the original intentions with these was not to fake but to honor a former emperor. |

Posted By: Corey Mon, Jun 02, 2014 Where did you get the vase from. If it has been in your or your family's possesion for more than a couple of decades, then perhaps you should consult an auction house. But like adam says, the mark is most likely apocryphal. |

Posted By: Corey Tue, Jun 03, 2014 The peach vase I mentioned that sold on ebay is item number 291116549580. The seller was Joanies House Of Treasures. See if you can find it their completed listings. |

Posted By: Corey Tue, Jun 10, 2014 In the ebay listing of the 19th century peach vase that sold for 30k (not 20k -my mistake) there is a reference to a late 19th century large famille rose 'nine peach' bottle vase with an apocryphal Qianlong seal mark sold at Christie's September 20 2013 - Lot 1437. Estimate was $20,000 - $30,000. price realized was $32,500! |

Posted By: Corey Thu, Jun 12, 2014 I have found a yongzheng m&p vase with a foot-ring that look very similar to yours. I don't understand why your vase doesn't get more attention from this boards members. |

Posted By: adam Sat, Jun 14, 2014 The pink looks differnt to the 18th century pinks and the brushstrokes look not 18th century... |
Subject:Re: Id AGE
Posted By: Corey Mon, Jun 16, 2014 The one at Christie's is dated LATE 19th century while the republic period is 1912-1949, so less than 100 years. But pieces like the Christie's vase are usually dated to late 19th - early 20th century. |

Posted By: manny Tue, Jun 17, 2014 Hi Corey I know the color are the same cause I did look at them even the brushstroke are the same. it's all to do with age of the peace look at the today auction CHISWICK HIGH ROAD AUCTION is on the net too. they are selling one, I have look at it, in my hand, it's bigger, heavier and the mark have a large round circles the bottom is dark the same I saw selling for 300 .500 some of them more ,with the same mark underglaze selling today at 6pm |

Posted By: Corey Fri, Jun 20, 2014 With 300 .500 you mean three hundred thoausand and five hundred pound sterling? |
Subject:Re: Id AGE
Posted By: manny Sat, Jun 21, 2014 Hi I meant 300 to 500 sterling any way it was sold for only 70 sterling, you could have bet on it on the net. you can still look at it on the auction record go to chiswick high road auction tuesday 17 anyway is not the same as the one I have my vase is soft and light you can even see the painting trough the top have you seen the yellow one ? is the same period too. |

Posted By: Corey Mon, Jun 23, 2014 The reflection of the light caught in the enemals looks promising. I think you should definately contact someone with expertise in this area. Usually first hand inspection is required for such things unless you have good provenance, but if i'm allowed to give you a personal advise; don't let anyone tell you that your item is fake or repro from a photograph or otherwise. Many people will tell you they are experts, but few of the actually are... |

Posted By: Corey Thu, Jun 26, 2014 I cannot say anything about the blue an yellow one from the photos alone. But a couple of years ago I picked up a blue and white unmarked kangxi square vase made into a lamp for one hundred kroner in a local flea market. These used to be rather common on the markets, but they are also being faked nowadays. I use it as my bed lamp. I hope to find another one so I can have a pair. |

Posted By: manny Mon, Jun 16, 2014 Hi adam thank you for your expert knowledge. I can see what you mean about the color and the brushstrokes, but the problem is, there are many 18th century genuine one on the net and most of them are different in color, do you know how they made the color at that time? I think they ad the white and they use that by hand right ? thank to the net we can all be expert . |

Posted By: manny Thu, Jul 03, 2014 Hi again I now know what you mean, but the thing is my vase doesn't have a stepped foot rim it's flat and rounded at the edge and that brown color is age as I tried to clean it off to see if it was made recent, but it did not go I even used bleach . well what about the weight? cause is very light and I can see the painting from the top ,compared to one I saw in auction was heavier and dark inside . what do you know about that? thank you |
