Posted By: rat Fri, Jun 20, 2014 hm, interesting picture showing a lot of distress, supposedly by You Yunlong, 1877-1961, the colophon by someone surnamed Li and dated 1949; the painting style of the animals and boys looks more recent than that to me; I suspect this is a hoax but you may want the opinion of someone who can see the actual picture. |

Posted By: robert Sat, Jun 21, 2014 Thank you for your reply. I was told that the artist is known in Vietnam as " Do Van Long " . He painted a series "100 Buffaloes" horses, monkeys, etc during the Tang Dynasty. According to the owner, it was rediscovered in 1943, hence the date ..... |
