Subject:Old Japanese Large Bowl

I picked this up today from an old man, he said it's been in the Family for over a 100 years, is he correct or bs'n me. Can anybody tell me the maker please.

Hi Billy,

Nobody will be able to tell you the maker. The mark reads Kutani tsukuru. (Kutani made) which is a standard marking on Japanese kutani ware. About 100 years is possible but the bowl certainly isn't older than that.
