Subject:Can someone tell me about my Japanese Vases?

Hello again,
I bought these a long time ago. Could someone tell me about them? What does the calligraphy on the bottoms say? Is this Kutani? As can be seen in the photos, the artwork on the 2 vases compliment each other when put side by side. They are not molded, but thrown by hand. I took pottery and can tell. Since they are hand thrown, the vases don't match perfectly in height. They are completely handpainted. 2 slight cracks which appear to be in the glaze only have developed. This is very difficult to see, and doesn't affect the appearance, at least not for me! Thank you in advance!
