Posted By: mikeoz Mon, Jul 07, 2014 Your coffee pot looks Japanese. If people find the mark difficult to read it is because Seal script is often quite different from the modern written form. The mark reads 名陶, which means 'famous kiln' or 'famous pottery'. In Japanese this would possibly be pronounced MyoTo or MeiTo.
